We work in partnership with Palmerston North Police and Palmerston North City  Council Emergency Management with the aim to make our Community  a safer place to live, work and play. We currently administer 858 groups across 40 suburbs of the Palmerston North Police District. Groups average around 15 households. We have a Management Team which meets monthly to manage the day to day operations of the organisation and a Council made up of representatives of our suburbs as well as Palmerston North Police and Palmerston North City Council Emergency Management, whom meet bi-monthly and is the policy making body of the organisation.

We also support a Programme called Junior Neighbourhood Support in four Primary schools each year in the Palmerston North Police District. The Programme is intended to engender in children a positive reinforcement of school initiatives, and an awareness of the roles that NZ Police, NZ Fire Service and PNCC Emergency Managment play in our Community. For 2013 the Programme is running in Cental Normal, Our Lady of Lourdes, Terrace End and Seventh Day Adventist(Snelson St)   primary schools.  Our Organisation operates from a Field Office situated in the Community Group Room in the Palmerston North Central Police Station and employs a Field Officer who is available to speak to new Groups as well as any Community Groups wanting to know more about Neighbourhood Support
